Hey all! ~2 weeks ago I received an offer for Jefferies'IBD SA program. Super excited - it's been a long, tough fight coming from a non target - and just signed my offer. I am from a non-target (top 30 school), so I don't really have reliable guidance from upperclassmen or the career center. I emailed everyone I interviewed with, thanking them for the and got responses from all. Should I use the time until the summer to network with people at the firm to get into one of their strong groups? As I understand, they have a generalist program, with Healthcare/Tech/Restructuring being strong (although this is purely from reading old threads). One of the HC VPs I interviewed with offered to have lunch if I was in the city before the summer, so I am thinking I can voice my interest in rotating through their HC group to him. From speaking to bankers, I have an interest in M&A and Healthcare.
Or generally - what should incoming summer analysts be doing after accepting an offer? Continue to network or just relax? What are Jefferies' strongest groups?
I have used the search function on the forum, it just seems threads on this are a little dated, and I would love an up-to-date opinion. Thanks so much!
