Hi guys,
I have SA offers from the following places in London:
Rothschild: + very good brand in the UK, + probably better deal experience, +nice people, +very good dealflow -seemed to be more conservative / not sure if I would fit that well
BAML: +global BB / well known name in all industries, +decent dealflow I would say, +people seemed to be more fun than f.ex. at RS, -not sure about the reputation in Europe?
Lazard: +very reputable, +huge deals for a boutique, -culture has a bad reputation + hours are harsh (met a guy who interned there last summer, he said it was really tough)
How would you rank them? I felt people at BAML were very nice. Would I close myself any doors by choosing BAML over a place like Lazard or RS? Also I am quite interested in FIG, how do the FIG groups of these places compare? Are exit opportunities into PE from FIG actually that limited? I am not sure if I wanna stay in finance in the long run / do PE after IB - i might want to switch to a corporate role, that's why I am thinking that BAML might be the more global more well known brand outside of the finance industry? What do you all think? Can I go wrong with any of these places or should I just choose the one that I felt I would most enjoy working at?
