I'm a freshman at UNC right now, and I'm looking to pursue NYC IB. Will having a low SAT math score (630) hurt me? I'm good at math, I got all As in advanced/AP math classes in high school, and I currently have an A in Calc Multi-Var, so I'm not concerned about my actual skill, but if I will be perceived to be lacking math skills due to my score. As I'm sure most of you know, SAT math doesn't test practical math skills as much as it tests how well you can answer SAT-specific math style questions, which aren't really applicable to real life or college-level math. Any ideas?
