Hi, What would be a better major for IBD/PE? my options are either Stats or CompSci since my parents want me to major in STEM for more job opportunities, but I will most likely pursue a career in Investment Banking, According to my schools career website, Stats major have landed many BBIBD, MBB, 2nd/3rd tier Consulting and hedge funds and prop trading in the past years, while Compsci majors have been locked into mainly BB Tech Analyst BO roles, so is majoring in Compsci a negative for IBD since most banks will want to put me in their Tech/Quant roles, while a Statistics major will be viewed more positively in their eyes?
