Breaking Into IB (Canada)

Hi All,
I am really glad to join this community of high strung individuals. I hope to learn a lot from here. I moved to Canada last year and i had my Undergrad in Accounting and Finance from a top University in Africa back in 2015. I have gained some relevant work experience and I will begin my MBA at a non target school here in Canada. IB is my dream area and i am ready to do all what it takes to secure all my MBA co-ops in IB. However i really don't know how to prepare myself. I believe the finance environment in the USA is kind of different from that of Canada but sincerely i will appreciate and make sure i make great use of any help i get from here. At the moment i keeping my MSExcel skills up to date by learning how to use VBA and other key functions.
