What were the most difficult or unexpected interview questions asked?:
there were a few difficult interview questions asked. went through a round of 4-5 people asking a mix of behavioral and technical questions. one of the most unexpected interview questions was a premium for investing in a smaller company when calculating public comparables. another interesting question was that we needed to calculate the length of time that it would take for 2 strings the same length to burn if you had one lighter. they provided the rates and then you would calculate how long it would take.

How did you answer each of these questions (please be specific)?:
i answered these questions by explaining that public comparables are when you compare commpanies of the same size, industry, etc. and use those inputs to derive outputs of various financial metrics including ev/ebtida, pe, ev/ebit, and even industry specific metrics like ev/ebitdar. i didn't account for the premium investing in small companies. i made my way throught hte next question but had read up on that brain teaser prior to the interview itself so it is definitely available online. i would recommend looking up.
