Wondering if anyone has experience/thoughts on the ability to interview for PE on the east coast while doing WC IB? At a top group (Moelis LA/MS Menlo/GSTMT) my intuition is you could get East Coast interviews, but how would you actually go about doing them? Do you have to make up some sort of excuse in order to travel for a couple days? Seems like the WC PE firms hire a lot of East Coast analysts - how does that work, since I imagine the answers will be correlated?
