I'm a rising sophomore at a target school and I was lucky enough to score a summer internship at a wealth management company in a midsize US city. My boss is very chill and since I've finished the tasks he's given well ahead of schedule he's basically giving my projects on whatever I want to learn and having me read some textbooks on portfolio management and expected returns. I'm planning to apply for SA positions in BBs and Boutiques in NY for next summer and I was wondering what I could learn that would make me a more competitive applicant. I have another two months of this internship left so I want to make sure I'm not just wasting my time. Should I learn how to do some basic financial modeling?
Thanks
