Is there a tactful way to reinitiate contact with alumni/references I have spoken to during junior year ocr for ft recruiting coming up? It's been easy sparking up conversation with people I have had a closer connection with, but what about those I've only had a single 30min phone call with or been referred to? Is it appropriate to reach out again? And if so, how direct in terms of asking about help/advice for FT recruiting is acceptable? I feel as if for a lot of these contacts who I've already talked to about recruiting advice, IBD/firm specific stuff, general career advice, and my own background, there's not much else in the way of conversation to really bring up.
Also, what's general etiquette when asking someone to meet in person for coffee/drinks/lunch? How "close" should you be before inviting him or her out? I'm currently interning at a MM in IBD in the city, and would like to take advantage of the fact that I'm here in the city.
Cheers!
