What were the most difficult or unexpected interview questions asked?:
The questions were reasonably easy. We were asked to bring a presentation that we created before about something we were passionate about. I brought one on quantitative easing but other applicants brought ones on things specific to them e.g. cricket. Was one question I could not answer on the impact of interest rate movements on currency values. Was also asked a few questions on competency questions specifically my three greatest weaknesses and what I like to do for fun. Because this was a spring insight program I think they put emphasis on the competency rather than technical questions. Also asked why I picked economics not engineering.

How did you answer each of these questions (please be specific)?:
On the question about the impact of interest rates on currency exchange rates I was a bit stumped. Although I was unable to answer this specific question I talked about how I could explain how interest rates impact output which they liked. With the question about why I picked economics I talked about how I liked how economics and engineering both tackle a problem in a scientific way but I prefer the subject matter that econ tackles. The greatest weaknesses question is were I messed up as I stated that I didn't handle stress that well.
