Alright, I'm a rising sophomore and I've been thinking about transferring lately. I'm at a private in the west coast which is probably around the T-50/60 mark and we send about 2-3 people to BBIB every year with all of them going to SF and we have about 5-10 people at NYCBBs. However I've always wanted to do IB in NYC (Just a better city than SF to be honest) but it'll be quite the grind to even land an offer over there. My school isn't a complete non target?--might even get some BB's to do OCR here soon?-- but I feel it'll be near impossible to get an offer in NYC, so I was wondering if it would be wise to transfer to a target or semi-target. I've had a great time here and made a lot of good friends but transferring seems logical if I want a chance at IB in NY. What are some good schools that are preferably on the East Coast, have business majors and give a good chance for NY recruiting. I have a good ACT (in the 32-34 range) and currently a 3.7 gpa which I could probably raise to a 3.8 or higher by the time the app is due. Does it hurt to try or are there some hidden implications I don't know about?
