Please describe the interview / hiring process.:
I received a call back from a campus recruiter who had been referred to me by an internship program director whom I had met on campus over a year ago. I received the phone call during the October towards the beginning of recruiting season. I was asked a few generic interview questions such as where do I see myself in 5 years. What experience do I have that ensures that this program is a good fit for me. I had to ask for the position I was been interviewed for, which is unusual.
The typical timeline is on their website which means that interviews and hiring currently still ongoing. However, I contacted by phone by a recruiter in another city. After that I was free to contact the recruiter. The recruiter was friendly but used similar strategies to screen applicants for persistence, spontaneity, ability et cetera. If you are informed of hiring practices you should fair well.

Why did you choose to decline the offer? (optional):
I never declined the offer I just never received a call back from the recruiter, whom I should have contacted in hindsight. How I was interviewed seemed vague and sketchy almost as if they recruiter hadn't been given background information about me and was trying to piece information together.
How did you answer each of these questions (please be specific)?:
I answered by stating that I was going to pursing a graduate education and that I don't believe that either the job or my education would be in-conflict with one another. I asked about the position at the Tennessee corporate headquarters since AB had recently moved there I was interested in filling the roles in another state or city.
I asked about the same positions being available in another city if I chose to explore that option. I asked about the state of rolling applications which may give me time to better prepare for further application submissions.
I definitely conveyed that I was not desperate for a job.
