Why Moelis? Who have you spoken to at Moelis? Technical Questions such as accounting questions like what happens when you buy equipment for x dollar and then resell it for a premium? There were also questions on LBOs and merger models, so be prepared for that. Most importantly, really know why Moelis LA. They seem to really care that you have a really big passion for the LA office and that you're not just there because LA is just another one of the many companies you're applying to. Definitely keep note of this.

How did you answer each of these questions (please be specific)?:
I answered Moelis with a couple things, mainly about how it is a boutique, which means more responsibility, more senior engagement, and better mentorship. Most importantly, Moelis has a generalist model, which means that as an analyst you get to work in a diverse range of industries spanning entertainment, media, gaming, and lodging. Say those things for why Moelis. On the other hand, for the LA part, make sure to talk about why you personally want to be there. For example, the culture there is generally much better.
