Hey guys, first post here so dont throw too much ms at me. Had a networking call earlier today and needless to say it didn't go well.
For anonimity sake, I will refrain from giving too much information. But basically, associate let me know right off the bat that things were wrapping up for their bank, as they took care of the superday for next summer. I proceeded to give some inclination of "I dont want to waste too much of your time, so I'll get straight to the point".
I ask some sensible questions along the lines of "why X bank over your second choice", "what are some of the finer groups within your coverage", etc. Associate stops me after 3 questions and proceeds to let me know how offended they were because I had not asked about their school background/accuses me of doing no research prior to the call.
Then proceeds to say that "all the business school kids are so much more prepared than my non-target", and at the very end tells me to explore other career paths as well since "thats what they did too".
Thoughts? I'm willing to concede that I could have been a little extra polite but not too sure if this is all a fever dream I should put behind me.
I would have been weirded out by you.
what makes you say that
.
you're a bad story teller - don't fully grasp what happened. but if someone had the audacity to tell you to choose a dif career path, you prob should buddy
