Hi all,
Currently a 3rd year analyst in an M&A group (focused on a specific sector) that is getting absolutely crushed. Being cooped up in the same room, waking up at 8:30am and working till 3am daily, and working weekends is becoming absolutely demoralizing. The banter and messing around with the bullpen made the experience enjoyable but now the only interactions I typically have being on Zoom are taking a toll. If anyone else in the same boat, how are you taking care of yourselves and staying sane with these hours / terrible conditions? Senior bankers are definitely taking advantage of knowing that we are much more accessible and more than likely near our computers 24/7... Thanks for reading, any advice would be appreciated!
Throw as much work on the new first years as possible. That’s what my 3rd year analyst did to me, should help you
