The Prerequisites For Dragon Slayerdingranran256October 4, 2020 - 9:02pm

(1) I was fishing in Musa Point, Karamja. A participant runs up to RuneScape gold us and asks for food. He had been trying to complete Dragon Slayer. Someone on the dock fished/cooked 22 lobsters for him. While doing this, we requested his stats. His answer was (roughly ) level 40 attack, 40 strength, 40 defense, very low level ranged&magic, 15 prayer. I recall reading about what att/str/def level you should be at, and exactly what armor/food/supplies you need to bring, so I told him that also wearing a (rune full) helmet could be good if he was likely to face Elvarg. But the man went straight for the combat with Elvarg. So I ceased fishing and decided to watch the battle. (Aside: Here is approximately what I defeated Elvarg with. Note that I wasn't quite interested in Runescape quests when I played, therefore I probably might have attempted the Dragon Slayer quest sooner than I did... Strike 41, Power 55, Defense 45, prayer 43. Two strength potions, holy emblem, 26 lobsters, rune longsword, complete rune helm, rune chainbody, rune platelegs, regular boots, security gauntlets, anti-dragonfire shield. I attracted armor/supplies near exactly what Sal's website recommends. I'd recommend the same armor/supplies to anybody trying to conquer Elvarg, except an amulet of electricity instead of the sacred emblem, and a rune scimitar in place of the rune longsword).

The guy did a great job of defeating Elvarg! He didn't turn on prayer in any way. (Aside: I recall Elvarg being tough to conquer. The bizarre thing is, for all the greater att/str/def/prayer/armor I had, it seemed like he had an easier struggle against Elvarg than that did. I know that it's likely because I was not facing the dragonfire myself, it appeared easier when he fought the dragon than once I did. I suppose the prerequisites for Dragon Slayer aren't as elevated as I thought?

(2) that I was not wearing any armor whilst fishing in Musa Point. After the man headed to the volcano, then I did not have the time to run to the bank and find some armor. So I just went without armor. As soon as I pushed the trapdoor from the wall, I raced towards Elvarg's lair however a Lesser Demon saw me and wanted a struggle. I ran past it but it followed me. I was busy watching the man fight Elvarg, but that I did have auto-retaliate on. I kept an eye on what was happening about me while watching the struggle against Elvarg. I was able to defeat the Lesser Demon with kicking. The Elvarg battle was not yet completed, and a skeleton decided it wanted to fight meso I conquered the skeleton with auto-retaliate kicking, too. I hadn't before attempted to conquer a Lesser Demon by kicking - it was a fantastic experience.

Which F2P monster gives the best total loot? NOT the most valuable single item drop, but the most value over a long session of defeating the stated given creature? I have seen a number of people pick level 83 cockroach soldiers in the Stronghold of Player Safety. Maybe Members fighting the"F2P" level 83 cockroach soldiers get good drops, but there's not any way that level 83 cockroach soldiers provide the top drops in Old School RS Gold F2P. So a member finding that the cockroach soldiers provide really good drops, that doesn't count as a good F2P fall (that is a P2P drop).
