I had a few interviews last week and trying to figure out what would be the best route to take. In the long run, I'm looking to work in VC or PE.

Currently a second year analyst at a top BB, think GS/MS/JP working in operations. All of these positions including current one is in NYC.

Received two offers:
1. IB Risk Analyst Covering TMT at another top BB think GS/MS/JP.
Pros:
- Good hours
- Decent salary
- A lot of financial modeling/credit analysis
- Great culture
- Bank has solid foundation and is continuing to grow
Cons:
- Considered MO
- Not typical IB route or viewed the same as IB
- Not sure if learning opp is as strong as below

2. IG Loans Syndication Analyst at a foreign bank
Pros
- Great learning opportunity
- A lot of modeling
- Great exposure to syndication
- "Front Office"
- Same salary as above
- A lot of seasoned IB folks running the team
- Strong in LatAM (but I don't speak spanish)
Cons
- Syndication team is fairly new
- Bank is fairly conservative
- Does not lead a lot of deals, but is trying to
- Bank doesn't seem to know what it's doing
- Foreign influence is still very infused in the U.S. bank.
- A lot of pitching work and less deal work
- Hours tends to be longer and the culture seems a little tense.

Thanks.
