Just wondering if any of you had been in this situation/had any advice on how to handle this.
I am about to start a SA internship at a BB (in a very demanding team) and I will probably be having the recruitment process for a PE fund at the same time. I would choose the PE offer over the BB one if I have the choice.
However, I am not really at ease on the way to justify for time off for my interviews. I previously interviewed during an off-cycle IB internship but (i) I was interviewing for another internship and not a FT offer and (ii) the off-cycle IB internship was less obviously leading to full time offers (while basically every SA strives to get a FT offer).
Should I try delaying my PE recruitment process or go ahead with the interviews and take the risk of ending the summer with no offer at all because my IB team would have got mad about it?
