So I've actually had my graduation delayed just so that I can have a shot at internships before FT recruiting (my resume is not that competitive right now). I was under the impression that I can beat out most juniors and get a spot easier than over-achieving seniors who've had legit summer experiences during junior summer. The thing is, on my schools OCR website I just realized there are HALF as many intern postings as full time job postings. Few days ago, I talked to a Big 4 recruiter who said that for every 2 interns they take per year from my school, they take 10 FT graduating. Can anyone shed some light on this (especially those from big 4)? I need to know if I should change my status back to senior (my school system doesn't let me drop resume for FT if I'm on junior status).
PS I'd also like to get some info on this matter with f500 finance fldps/internships. Are they hiring more spots for fldps or for interns? I know that banking seems to be harder as Ft w/o prior banking experience, but I just confirmed that with big 4, FT is actually easier.. Most of their Fts weren't interns.
