A few months ago, one of the companies (large cap, sort of a household name) announced that it was exploring strategic alternatives with respect to a portion of its business, including a sale, spin-off etc. Although a specific transaction was not announced, it was clear from the press release that they are going to do something. The bank advising the company was clearly named.
To what extent can i put the name of this company on my resume, and how detailed can the description of my activities be? It should be pretty obvious that i did extensive merger modeling / valuation work given that the client was announcing a spin/sale of the group, so in the context of PE recruiting, would this cause any issues? Has anyone else had a similar situation? Would appreciate any thoughts....
