Hey y'all, currently just started recruiting for post-MBA IB role at an M7 school. Every bank comes and talks about the good groups and excellent deal flow it has. Since you guys might be able to provide an unbiased opinion, wanted to ask if you can list top groups at different banks (for someone looking to become a career banker) right now.
Also, I have a consulting background where there is a huge difference between top three (MBB) and 2nd tier firms (type of work, brand equity, exit opps etc.). How is it like in banking world? For example, is BAML perceived is much worse than GS/MS? I didn't think so but now I keep hearing that there is a significant difference. Besides GS/MS, most BBs end up doing financing work on the deals and less advisory.. any thoughts?
Thanks
