I will attempt to keep this as brief as possible. I welcome all intelligent feedback, advice, and criticism.
I am currently attending a U.S. Service Academy (think top 10 school) and plan to transfer. Currently I am attempting to transfer to a target school (Cornell, UPenn, Columbia) as well as some lower-tier schools (UC Berkeley, Vanderbilt) and finally a guaranteed school (UT Austin).
I want to major in CS and minor in Finance/Econ. My reasoning: I am attempting to leave as many doors open as possible, with the end goal of entrepreneurship. I am very interested in IB, but am also open to silicon valley if it can provide me a better income. Both CS and IB are short-term for me (5 years) as, again, I plan to be an entrepreneur.
My question is this: am I hurting my chances to secure an internship and ultimately a job as an analyst by choosing to major in CS and minor in Finance/Econ?
