I was wondering if anyone knows of any deals Nomura have advised on - have my interview in a few days. The main one I can find is the dragon oil deal, however I wanted to have a couple more just incase.
How to Find Deals that a Bank Advised On?
A common interview questison to ask is "what is a deal that the bank has advised on recently?" Answering this question proves that you have been reading about the bank / firm and are familiar with what is going on in the deal market currently.
Below are some resources to find deals with specific advisors:
- M&A Function on a Bloomberg Terminal allows you to easily search for deals by advisors
- Google "US M&A News and Trends - Factset" and download the monthly report that Factset publishes - you can see an example attached below. Scroll to the last page to see the top deals of the month / year and check for advisors
- Merger Market
- Search sites like Dealbook and PEHub to find deals that the company has advised on
