William & Mary on the Street

Hi, everyone. I'll be attending the College of William & Mary in the fall. Originally, I was hoping to go to law school, but after learning more about investment banking, I've decided to pursue a career in that field. I understand that William & Mary doesn't get a lot of IB recruiters. Should I plan on transferring to a target school, or can I make it to Wall Street if I do enough networking through the Financial Academy and other such programs?

In addition, I'm pretty much set on an economics major, since I already received credit for the introductory microeconomic and macroeconomic courses I took in high school. Is that a good idea? I've heard that undergraduate business isn't worth it, but William & Mary's handy investment banking guide seems to be written for finance majors. Here's the link: https://mason.wm.edu/programs/undergraduate/career....

In addition, I really want to move to California after graduating, but I doubt I'll be able to transfer to Berkeley without breaking the bank. Any suggestions?
